Originally 'The List' was my second blog post (and can be found here in it's original state) but I'm giving it a promotion and making it a page so you and I can look at it and I can mark off things as I finish them.
I'm going to re order it by room for the page though.
Living room/ Hallway
· Remove the chair rail and all that entails, paint walls and trim
· Remove closet bi-fold doors. Fix track and doors. Rehang.
· Replace ceiling light in with ceiling fan
· Replace all electrical outlets and light switches.
· Replace all brass outlet/switch covers with something else.
· New Curtains
Kitchen
· Finish painting the walls and cabinets.
· Rebuild the cabinet above the fridge that the people before me knocked out.
· Replace ugly linoleum floor with something nice.
· Replace the ugly mismatched ceiling lights with new matching flush mount lights. Maybe even some can lights!
· Replace all electrical outlets and light switches.
· Replace all brass outlet/switch covers with something else.
· Find a window covering that looks cute, and blocks the sun enough so we don’t go blind while using the sink but doesn’t completely obstruct the light.
· Fix door frame to back door.
Laundry Closet
· Do something about the ugly louvered bi-fold doors. Paint or replace. Not sure yet.
· New shelving with clothes hanging area.
Main Bathroom
- Finish painting trim and vanity.
- Replace old broken vent fan in ceiling
- New vanity light.
- Replace avocado green tub/shower, toilet & sink.
- New tile flooring.
Master Bedroom
- Paint walls and trim.
- New Curtains
Master Bathroom
- Remove and replace stupid miniature sink and vanity.
- Remove aqua blue shower stall replace with new stall or maybe some nice tile.
Kid's Rooms
· Replace ceiling lights with ceiling fans.
Guest/Play room
· Replace horrible green carpet.
· Make some form or fashion of a decision on whether to leave the paneled walls plain, paint or try to remove them.
Everywhere
· Remove and replace all the horrible Venetian blinds through out the house.
· Remove the dreaded popcorn ceilings.
· Hardwood floors!
